LGBTQ2 HEALTH MATTERS!

In 2014 Rainbow Health Working Group in conjunction with the Smiths Falls Health Centre developed a survey  to determine the health needs of the local community.  Two workshops facilitated by Rainbow Health Ontario were organized to educate health professionals with over 100 participants.

During this time LGBT Lanark County Civitan organized a Get Screened cancer training for LGBT advocates.

QUEER CONNECTION LANARK IS FORMED!

On November 25,2014 Queer Connection Lanark developed its mission statement and logo
The group discussed the mission of  Queer Connection Lanark County - wanting to ensure two themes,
 1)  visibility of a LGBTQ community,
 2)  that youth are involved and know there is a LGBTQ community

Rainbow Alliance for Youth (RAY)
A collaboration between Carleton Place PFLAG, Interval House and Queer Connection Lanark to provide support at YAKs by hosting drop-in events for LGBTQ youth in Perth, Almonte, Carleton Place and Smiths Falls.
