ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
The Enough Is Enough! campaign began in 2012 in response to the suicide of Jamie Hubley, a gay teenager from Kanata. The campaign was designed to help LGBTQ youth create safe spaces as well as ensure that teachers, parents and community members knew how to make their solidarity with LGBTQ youth visible.
The campaign included a series of plaques which were donated to local schools showing prominent members of the community with personal messages of support for LGBTQ youth. 44 plaques were donated to local schools, Youth Centres as well as made available to municipalities and Lanark County Interval House at cost. The campaign included the distribution of 1300 Enough is Enough bracelets as well as workshops, presentations and displays at community events such as Maple Fest.
