QCL is proud to march as part of Capital Pride this year!

Please arrive anytime between 11:30am-1:00pm
All are welcome - registration is not required, but we encourage you to tell us you're coming so we know how many people to expect!
The parade route is shown below. At the end of the parade is a street party on Bank St with food, vendors, and entertainment. For more information on Capital Pride please see their website: capitalpride.ca/
Things to Know:
- Individuals do not need to register nor check in - simply arrive per the instructions above.
- As we are not registered for a vehicle, please be prepared to walk.
- Please remember to bring sunscreen and water, as sunny and hot conditions are expected. Prior to the start of the parade, there will be an extended period of standing and waiting. If you need specific accommodations, or have other questions, please email [email protected]
- For those driving into Ottawa, please allow extra time to arrive. Roads will be closed for the parade creating unexpected traffic patterns. Note: the parking garage under City Hall will be closed. Other nearby garages include the World Exchange Plaza, Byward Market, and the CF Rideau Centre
- We will have a small wagon for equipment and props
- Capital Pride allows for individuals to hand out small items (eg: buttons) or candy, as well as use props such as bubble wands. Certain items are not allowed however. If you wish to bring something to make the parade more vibrant, please contact [email protected] to discuss.
- If you need a carpool or are able to offer a carpool, please contact [email protected] with your contact information. We'll send out an email with everyone's contact information to connect people. (If you have already submitted the online form, we have your information)
